Open Question: How long will it take me to lose 30 pounds?

I am trying to lose weight to join the Air Guard, but i'm off to a slow start. I started a week ago by walking a 2.5 mile hiking trail (the most I walked since having a baby 7 months ago! lol that trail was up and down almost the whole way!) and I went to the river to swim two days this week, but now i'm down to walking half a mile to a mile a day. My muscles are sore! lol. At this rate about how long would it take me? I know theres no way to tell, but in your experience about how long? And should I run untill I about topple over or work up to longer distances? I don't eat what you would call health conscious foods because well, frankly I can't afford it. But I try to eat as healthy as I can with the food I have. I don't eat much (maybe once or twice a day) Plus I live in east Tennessee so when I walk on the road it's up a mountain, does that help any? HA! not eating? I want to go into the military, I have to be as healthy as possible!

Open Question: should i do it or not?

My middle school has two choices: PE or Athletics. Athletics is during first period and you have to run 2 or more miles which is timed and then you practice volleyball or basketball. I'm not used to that type of exercise because when ever i run i feel lightheaded and sometimes throw up. I need to lose weight and most of my classmates are in it too. PE is just do a lap and do whatever game like dodgeball. I don't want to push my body to do something it isn't ready for. Should I take Athletics of PE. plus high school coaches come to the games so it would be good if i made a team in athletics. It would help me get into a good college and so since they look at other activites you are in other than your grades. I might get used to it though. This is tough! ugghhh

Open Question: Losing weight (Boxing) FAST???? HELP?

Ive been boxing for a while now and im looking to get in a tournament in about a month.. but i have to change weight classes im 167 but i need to be 152... how can i lose about 15lbs and fast and about a good week or two before the end of august because i will have to fight in that weight to get use to it before i get in the tournament

Open Question: When exercising do you have to tuck in your belly?

I use the Air Climber and this whole time I was using it I did not tuck in my belly but today my mother came in the room and asked if I was tucking in my belly. I said no and I asked do I have to and she said yes if I want to lose weight on my belly? Well do I have to squeeze in my belly. When I do it it makes it harder to breathe so can I wear a panty girdle and still lose weight on my stomach area?

Okay, so i am five foot 6, 18 and weigh 78kgs... I've always struggled with my weight. I've been really depressed lately and now i weigh more than i ever have in my life... it's horrible? Is there really any point in losing weight? Even when i'm slimmer, I'll still have stretch marks on my boobs, hips and thighs etc. my skin will still be yucky. I need inspiration... :'( any of you ever been where i am, lost weight and felt sexy as ever? or do you always wish you'd lost weight sooner and are faced with the scars of what you once were... ugh.

Open Question: HELP!! Period going on WAY too long. Anything I can do?

I have already been to my doctor and am going again next week. This is just getting ridiculous though. I have always been overweight, but have started losing and am making really progress. I've gone from 180 to 145 over the last 6 months. I started taking the mini-pill (progestin-only) around two and a half months ago. Before all this, my periods would come and be normal amount and length, but would come irregularly. I had a problem a couple years ago when it came for four weeks and then was really, really strong and I ended up passing huge clots and lost half the blood in my body and had to be transfused. This is not like that. It's been normal to somewhat heavy to just spotting. However, it's been around for awhile at this point (two and a half this time, the longest yet) and has been going on off and on for the last three months. It will come for a week or two, stop for a few days and then come back again. It's really frustrating, and let's face it, part of the consideration at this point is that I'm so incredibly horny it's gotten to be something awful. The doctor said a few weeks ago that it was my body's reaction to starting the mini-pill, plus the weight loss. Will this keep on going for forever? It's just so freakin aggravating. Is there anything at all that I can do? I have a romantic getaway that's been planned for awhile starting this sunday and just really wish it would stop.
