I just found out that im lactose intolerant.
Im 14, 5'5 and 150pounds, i eat heathily already and exersize atleast 20min a day, i havent been loosing any weight.
Now i cant eat any diary at all, so no chocolate, no cheese, no normal bread. And im switching to soy milk.
With this new dairy free diet, will it help me loose weight?
thanksx
I ate heaps of dairy before, im now drinking soy milk, and eating dairy free everything including bread. and no cheese at all.
And i've started exersizing too for atleast 20min a day, so im guessing this will help too?
Open Question: Final attempt to lose some damn weight -.- *whats your opinion*?
September 3rd, 2010
I have been trying for over 2 years to lose weight. I am 98 kilos and 1,75 high. People tell me that I look as if I am 85 but this **** doesn't make me feel any better.
Back on topic. I tried all kinds of exercises combined with exercise and I haven't seen any good - lasting results which pisses me off and really lowers my confidence. And you know why I am really mad? because I see people of my age, not working out and eating evey damn thing they find on the table and they don't gain any weight while I am constantly on a diet only to preserve my weight.
So what I 've come up with is this plan: (and I want your few cents on this)
As far as eating habits are concerned:
#No white carbohydrates or sugar
#4 meals a day at least 4 hours apart from each other
#No combined foods
#Salads for burning
As far as exercising habits are concerned I haven't' changed much but I added something small which might just help:
#twice a week my tae kwon do training
#twice a week mountain biking
#twice a week swimming
#once a week gym
I have the nerve to follow this but if I don't see results once again, I will be really devastated.
PS: I have a power plate at home, is it useful for fat burning?
Open Question: Will I lose weight doing this?
September 3rd, 2010
Ok, so i eat right, i only eat like, fresh fruit, vegetables and meat and all that. I dont drink soft drink and im not really a big fan of bread so i dont eat much of that either. I never eat junk foods (i guess i just don't crave them). So yeh, very little sugar or bad stuff in my diet. But i'd like to lose a little weight, ive been running (on a treadmill) at 7 kmph for 30 minutes every night and im just wondering, is running/jogging actually going to help me lose weight, or am i just wasting my time? I know people say eating right and excercising will help you lose weight... but is this actually going to help?
Im not really a big fan of excercise, so yeah...
So, will the diet ive described in combination with the excercise ive described make me lose weight? Also, im looking to lose most of the weight around my stomach, but i know you cant really lose weight on specific spots... though i HATE sit ups.
thanks :)

Open Question: Working Out Making Me Fatter?
September 3rd, 2010
I eat a balanced diet due to my Diabetes.
I don't want to lose weight, just get really toned.
So at night I spend 1 hour doing lunges, crunches, sit ups, etc.
But I always look the same? My stomach/legs never get more toned, etc. HELP?
Open Question: How did the 3 hour diet help people lose weight?
September 3rd, 2010
I read in the 2006 book "The Reality Diet" that just because you're hungry every 3 hours doesn't mean you're in starvation mode it just means you've trained your body to be hungry every 3 hours. I'm confused how it works. If it works it seems to be for very disciplined people. I personally think its easier to burn off more calories than you take in when you just have three meals a day.

To Snack Or Not To Snack

It seems like whenever you go on a new weight loss diet there's a part of your brain that tells you, uh oh, deprivation time. Well, "dieting" is not synonymous with deprivation. In fact, dieting does not mean that you have to stop eating good flavorful satisfying food.
Open Question: Would a rice cake diet be a good idea?
September 3rd, 2010
I'm a 13 year old girl, and 5kg (11 pounds) overweight. I really want to lose the 5kg and return to a healthy weight.
I'm thinking of running 1k every day before school, drinking a lot of water, and eating only fruit and rice cakes. Would this make me lose weight? I'm going to try it out for a week.
oh btw when i said ''fruit and rice cakes'' i meant it separately. ahaha
Open Question: Am I overdoing my Exercise? Is my jean size the correct size for a man my build?
September 3rd, 2010
Hi, Everyone. I would love your honest opinions.
Ok, I used to weigh 220 lb's and wore a 38 waist jeans. I am 5'8. 30 years old. Since February I have lost 30 lb's and am now down to a 34 inch waist jeans (British sizes)
I feel great but i want to keep going. But people are telling me to stop losing weight, that I look right as I am now and that I am wearing myself out with too much exercise.
I often would run/walk 5k a day for 6 days a week. I feel exhausted after it and to be honest I no longer enjoy it and almost dread it, but I insist on doing it all the same. I feel guilty and fat again if I skip a days exercise!
My diet monday to friday is very strict and small. Lots of salads, fish, fruits, wholemeal breads etc.
So at 5'8 and now 30 pounds less and confortably wearing 34 inch waist jeans....have I done enough? Should I slow down now? Am I over doing the exercise? if I slow down the exercise and restrict it to maybe 4 days a week, will i slowly put the weight all back on?
Am I over doign the exercise? Is my jeans size the right size for me now?
Thank you for your opinions.
Dave
