Open Question: what type of doctor/specializes in treating obesity including behavior modification?
I know someone who doesn't want to have surgery necissarily but wants to see a doctor who knows what he is talking about when it comes to treating obese patients in efforts to lose weight. Not just a regular doctor who will only throw a prescription at the problem order some blood tests and say do some exercise. The person probably does not have a thyroid problem and sugar is normal from the last blood test. I thought maybe its her adrenal glands or digestion but there has to be a specialty that deals with obesity and I just don't know the name of it to tell her.
