For the past few weeks I’ve been trying to lose weight. I am VERY overweight and want to lose atleast 60-70 lbs by December. I’m 19, female, 5′4, and weigh around 240. My mom got me some Mega-T Green Tea pills to take twice a day. It says it helps curb appetite, helps stimulate metabolism, and helps burn fat. Is this true? And is this safe? It also contains Hoodia in it. I heard that green tea is good for losing weight around your stomach and that is where I carry most of my weight. I just want to know if I should really try taking these along with diet and exercise? I am VERY paranoid about pills, but this is more like an herb right???

I would like to know if anyone has tried the Zone Diet by Dr. Barry Sears. I heard that it also helps regulate and control diabetes. I would like to hear from anyone who has tried this diet. I already tried various forms of Acai Berry, Green Tea, and Grapefruit Extract and none of those worked for me. Please stick with the question I asked! I want to hear about the Zone diet and not supplements that you are selling and making a commission off of.

I haven’t had regular periods in a few months due to weight loss, but I just read that one can still ovulate without a period. I have the cervical fluid associated with ovulation, and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend yesterday. So even though I’m not menstruating, could I be pregnant?

This summer I’m going to lose weight. A lot, I’m talking DRASTIC change in the way my body is and I only have ’til 07.31.09 to do it. Eat less, exercise more right? I eat when I get bored and I get bored a lot, it’s summer and I’ll probably be stuck at home; so how do I keep myself from eating so much during summer? For some reason, it embarrasses me when I talk to my parents about working out and I don’t wanna do it in front of them. Is there any way I can get over this?

I know it is perfectly safe to eat/drink the berry, but I am intersted in the Acai Burn pills, becuase theres a free trial avbailible. It says you need to be 18, but is that true? I don’t want to take something unsafe that can hurt me, but I really need to lose this weight!

I’m female, 30, 5′6, pear shaped. on 5/10/09 I started a lower carb/lower calorie diet. I’m eating 40% fruit/veggies, 40% protein, 15% carbs, 5%fat. I drink only water. My starting weight was 154. It’s 5/31/09, I’m now 150. I was hoping to lose more weight by now. I keep a food diary. These are the stats: Wk 1: 1709 calories weekly, 141 carbs daily; Wk 2: 1524 calories weekly, 102 carbs daily; Wk 3; 1321 calories weekly, 135 carbs daily.
How good is my weekly calorie/daily carb intake? Should i be doing something different? Should I have lost more weight than 4 pounds? Before this I was consuming lots of calories/carbs per day cause I ate fast food for lunch and dinner every day. I haven’t been exercising, I plan to start walking this week daily -1 hr. Any tips to see more effective results sooner? My goal is 140. Thanks.

I have recently started running outside instead of using a treadmill since the weather is warm again, but running outside is much tougher and I can’t last long. Is this common at first and how long does it take for the body to get used to outdoor running? Second, do you find that outdoor running is more benefical for fitness and weight loss?
